Despite my hopes of clement weather, if not for my own gardening agenda, for the benefit of all the Easter celebrations, alas, the clouds could only contain their precipitation 'til early afternoon before unleashing a downpour on us. Nonetheless, Will did manage to finish tilling the topsoil and Rene surprised me by repairing the gate and the fence behind the crabapple tree. The only thing that didn't happen was my contribution to the effort.
I'd really hoped to sow all the seeds by day's end, but with the continual rainfall, which, by the way, is still going on at this late hour, it looks as if I will have to save my sowing for the next sunny afternoon. At least I can be content in knowing that the ground is ready and waiting for me when inspiration and opportunity finally strike.
