This Month's Film: Steam: The Turkish Bath
I know these tasty little phyllo pastries as spanikopita in Greek cuisine, and in Turkish cuisine, they're not much different. Although that's no surprise, since the Turkish culture has left its thumbprint on nearly every Mediterranean country.
I filled these with chopped spinach, feta cheese, onions and garlic, folded them flag-style and brushed them with a little olive oil before baking. I sometimes forget how easy and failsafe these little appetizers are. Perfectly simple and simply perfect every time!
