Artichoke Hearts a la Meze
This Month's Film: Steam: The Turkish Bath
Artichokes are one of my favorite vegetables, although I don't often think to serve them. However, this Turkish menu presented the perfect opportunity. I steamed them, removed the petals and diced the hearts into cubes, which I tossed in olive oil and lemon juice with a little fresh parsley. A quick, simple, yet unusual presentation.
