My Thanksgiving preparations began in earnest today, as Rene arrived last night with armloads of fresh ingredients, including a 12-pound turkey, four bags of French croutons, two onions, two bell peppers, and a package of celery for the stuffing; five cans of whole cranberry sauce, four navel oranges and a bag of walnuts for my cranberry relish; a dozen yams, five pounds of potatoes, four bags of baby carrots, two pounds of green beans, and a partridge in a pear tree...Oops! Wrong holiday...
