An Indonesian Feast Begins With Sambal
This Month's Film: The Year of Living Dangerously
My Indonesian buffet begins with a sambal, a side dish or condiment. This one is a salsa-like dish of mashed avocados and mango, with sweet red peppers, jalapeno chili peppers, fresh basil, and lime juice. And as a dipping vehicle, I chose light and airy shrimp chips. What a wonderful departure from your garden variety chips and salsa.
The recipe will be posted at the end of the month, along with my Year of Living Dangerously film review.
