This Month's Film: The Spiral Road
This fried rice medley has a little of everything: ground pork, bits of omelet, garlic, thinly sliced onions, shredded cabbage, bean sprouts, sweet red peppers, carrots, and green chiles, seasoned with cumin, coriander, and sambal ulek, all brought together by a rich pork broth. With the distinctive spices, it held its own next to all those savory dishes, and was a delightful base for those tasty little Dutch croquettes that I served as appetizers.
