Sherpa-Style Lamb and Barley Soup
This Month's Film: The Razor’s Edge
This soup was by far one of most delicious yet least attractive soups I’ve ever made. Unfortunately, my son Will finished the last of it before I realized that I hadn’t taken a photo of it. The ingredients included lamb, barley, mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach, onions, garlic, ginger, curry powder, and soy sauce. I absolutely LOVE the taste and texture of barley in soups and rice pilaf, and when combined with the bits of lamb in the rich lamb stock that I made just for this soup, the result was sheer heaven.
