This Month's Film: Ushpizin
With the restrictions on the use of dairy products in conjunction with meats, creating a kosher dessert can be a challenge. The perfect solution: Brandied Fruit. You can use almost any kind of fruits in season, including apples, oranges, pineapple, pears, cherries, berries, and melons. I spiced mine with cinnamon sticks and sweetened it with sugar. A lovely tribute to the harvest season.
The Recipe will be posted at the end of the month with my 'Ushpizin' film review.
