This Month's Film: Woman in the Dunes
Crab is one of Osaka's most popular and abundant seafoods, so no Osaka-style meal is complete without some kind of crab dish. I chose to make panko crusted crab cakes, with a simple mixture of lump crabmeat, finely chopped scallions, and an egg to hold it all together. And for dipping sauces, there were already several good choices on the table, including ponzu, Kewpie mayonnaise, teriyaki sauce, and okonomiyaki sauce, so I didn't need to make a special dip for them.
The recipe will be posted at the end of the month along with my 'Woman in the Dunes' film review.
