At seven a.m., just as the day was beginning in California, the clock struck midnight in Japan, heralding the dawn of a New Year. To celebrate the occasion, my son Will and I shared bowls of Toshikoshi Soba topped with Panko Crusted Shrimp. What a tasty beginning. And later tonight, we’ll have a late supper of Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp, Caesar Salad, Grilled Filet Mignon, and Pan-Roasted Vegetables. And of course a little bubbly to ring in the New Year in our time zone.
