This Week's Film: Black Narcissus
I’ve made Himalayan food several times in the last five years, including momo dumplings, thukpa noodle soup, chow chow noodles, chicken jasha maroo, lamb tarek, and a fantastic five course meal featuring various cuts of yak meat. But in researching Himalayan food for this week’s dish, I realized that I’ve never made the chili pepper and cheese dish known as Ema Datshi.
There are plenty of recipes for it on the Internet, so I’m going to gather a few and synthesize them into my own version of this ubiquitous Himalayan dish. My recipe will be posted at the end of the week, along with my Black Narcissus film review.
