Deciding on a Japanese Dish

Chopstick Cinema

This Week's Film: Snow Falling on Cedars
Cuisine: Japan

Since this week’s film takes place in the U.S. Pacific Northwest, I feel obliged to feature a recipe with salmon as the main ingredient, as this geographic region is known for some of the finest salmon fishing there is.

Throughout the six years that I’ve been creating recipes for Chopstick Cinema, I’ve prepared salmon in many ways, including sashimi, sushi, teriyaki, and panko-encrusted katsu, to name a few. So I’m going in search of something I haven’t featured, and once I’ve decided from among the many possibilities, my Japanese salmon recipe will be posted at the end of the week, along with my Snow Falling on Cedars film review.
