This Week's Film: Mongolian Ping Pong

In my quest for this week’s Mongolian/Chinese dish, I first took inventory of the dishes I’ve featured so far. Over the past six years, I have created several Mongolian menus, and dozens of Chinese dishes. I’ve served Mongolian barbeque, Mongolian beef, Mongolian hot pot, and Mongolian dumplings. So this time, I was looking for something different.

With that in mind, I wondered if there might be Chinese-style recipes for Mongolian Chicken. I’ve never eaten it or even seen it on Chinese menus, so I had no basis for assumption. But I was pleasantly surprised to find that indeed there are many such recipes. So I gathered the best of the bunch and will be assimilating them into my own rendition of the dish, along with a few creative modifications of my own.
