This Week's Film: Fleeing By Night
In the past six years, I’ve made so many Chinese dishes that I’ve lost count. Even so, Chinese cuisine encompasses so many different regions, styles and individual dishes that I haven’t even begun to scratch the surface. But I have managed to represent many of the most popular dishes and have focused at one time or another on all the major regional cuisines. So this week, I’ve been going back over my recipe and photo archives looking at a few of my favorites. And since the movie is set in Beijing, I definitely want to feature one of its signature dishes.
