I’ve been craving sushi for weeks but I’ve got too much deadline work due today to get in the kitchen and make it myself or to play hooky for the evening to go out for a sushi dinner. So I’ve decided to settle for the next best thing.
Several of our local grocery markets offer sushi in their prepared food departments, and this afternoon my son Will went shopping for take-out sushi. He returned with bento boxes of salmon and tuna nigiri, and nice assortment makizushi.
Since I’m not actually making sushi this week, I’ve decided to revisit my all-time favorite sushi menu: A Roll Your Own Sushi Party.
