Deciding on This Week’s Japanese Dish
This Week's Film: Nobody Knows
I’ve made so many delicious Japanese dishes over the years that it’s impossible to choose a favorite. The ones that I make most often are sushi, cold soba with wasabi ponzu dressing, and tonkatsu (pictured).
However, a little over a year ago, I added a new favorite: tatsuta chicken. The preparation is simple, with a soy sauce marinade and a dusting of katakuriko or cornstarch, and a quick deep-fry in hot oil.
Katsuta chicken may be served as an appetizer, or as a simple dinner accompanied by a light Japanese salad and a bowl of steamed rice.
My Tatsuta Chicken recipe will be posted at the end of the week, along with my Nobody Knows film review.
