The Geography of East India
East India straddles the border of India and Bangladesh, with the Indian portion designated as the states of West Bengal, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagland, Meghalaya, Tripura, Manipur and Mizoram. The cuisine of this region has a long culinary history, with British, French, Chinese, Afghan, Muslim, Anglo-Christian, and Jewish cultural influences.
