Curry on the Streets of Singapore
This Week's Film: Paradise Road (Redux)
Street food is an integral part of everyday life Singapore, and the choices are seeming endless. From steaming soups and curry noodles, to savory kebabs and sticky rice steamed in banana leaves, hard-working and resourceful street vendors offer up their irresistible fare from carts and crowded stalls at all hours of the day and night. And for many residents of this vibrant culture, the abundant and economically affordable array of street food is the sole source of sustenance.
This week, I will be zooming in on one of Singapore’s most popular street treats: Deep-fried Curry Puffs. Join me tomorrow for a closer look.
My Curry Puff recipe will be posted at the end of the week along with my film review of Paradise Road.
